In kindergarten, Megan was asked to write and draw a picture of what she wanted to be when she grew up. At her high school graduation, it was returned to her. It said "I want to help animals when I grow up" with a drawing of her and her childhood dog. It was at that moment, she was certain she had made the right decision for her future. Megan is a 2015 graduate of the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh. She has special interests in anesthesia and surgery, pain management, and animal behavior. She plans to achieve her VTS in clinical practice or behavior. She has three pets of her own, her Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless dog for short) Odessa, and her two cats Juniper and Egbert. When Megan is not working, she enjoys making art, cooking, and playing video games with her husband, Erik.
