Jen is originally from Minnesota, and moved to Virginia Beach in 2006 to attend Virginia Wesleyan College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies in 2010. Jen graduated from the Blue Ridge Community College Veterinary Technician program in 2015 and became a member of the Virginia Association for Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Jen keeps busy spending time with her family. They enjoy running, going for walks, and playing at the park.
Tara has broad experience in clinical care, accounting, leadership, team building, accountability, healthcare management, and healthcare administration. Before joining us at Princess Anne, Tara worked for a non-profit health clinic on the Administrative level as the Business Manager, collaborating with other leaders in the organization to license a million dollar facility to meet and exceed Virginia Board of Medicine requirements for an outpatient surgical center. She has worked for two other non-profits, further ingraining her call to serve. Her foray into healthcare began with her certification as an EMT-CT in the State of Virginia in 1997. From emergency services, Tara ventured into service with the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office for 13 years. During her time in service to the department, she was promoted to the rank of Corporal, was a General Instructor and Firearms Instructor, and earned the Meritorious Performance Ribbon. In her time with the sheriff’s office, Tara developed as a mentor and a leader, gaining extensive experience in guiding teams to produce efficient results with great care. Tara is a Virginia Beach native and shares her home with her husband, two children, and three rescue cats: King Leonidas of Sparta, Walter White, and Foot. Tara attended Old Dominion University.
