Practice Manager

Tara is a Virginia Beach native, born in raised in the Resort City. Her professional life was spent mostly in law enforcement, but her passion has always been human service, and she has spent several years working for several non-profits as a Business Manager, Accountant, and Controller. This passion to give back has led her to Princess Anne. She is married with two children and shares her home with a hamster named Yogurt and three rescue cats: King Leonidas of Sparta , Walter White, and Foot. In her off time, Tara enjoys traveling, concerts, cooking, and recently retired from playing roller derby under the name Grenade, #808.

Jen at Princess Anne Veterinary HospitalJen is originally from Minnesota, and moved to Virginia Beach in 2006 to attend Virginia Wesleyan College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies in 2010. Jen graduated from the Blue Ridge Community College Veterinary Technician program in 2015 and became a member of the Virginia Association for Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Jen keeps busy spending time with her family. They enjoy running, going for walks, and playing at the park.

Brit at Princess Anne Veterinary HospitalBrit was born in New Jersey and raised in Virginia Beach. She graduated from Kellam High School in 2009. When not caring for animals at Princess Anne Veterinary Hospital, Brit enjoys spending time with her husband and two rescue, mixed-breed dogs Captain and Maggie. She likes cooking, hiking, camping, serving as a youth leader at her church, and helping with her mom’s Senior Girl Scout troop.


Laurie at Princess Anne Veterinary HospitalLaurie was born and raised in Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia Beach with her husband in June 2016. She has a mixed lab named Toby, a Boston Terrier named Skully Skull Crusher, and a cat named Crook. Her favorite hospital resident is our goat, George.


Laurie at Princess Anne Veterinary HospitalRhian is a Chesapeake native and a wonderful addition to our staff. She is a Hickory High School graduate and is currently attending the Penn Foster program for Veterinary Technology. She is engaged and the proud mom of her dogs Maci and Stella, her cat Beauregard, her leopard gecko Francine and her fish Bill, Ted, Bob, Charlie, and Percy.

Lisa at Princess Anne Veterinary HospitalLisa is a Virginia Beach native and enjoys going to the beach, gardening, and being outdoors. You may see her cat, Sarabi, hanging out at the front desk from time to time. Her other pets include Sally the turtle, who she’s had since her childhood, Lola the gecko, and several fish tanks and ponds. Lisa spends a lot of time outside of work watching other people’s pets while their owners are away from home.

She is engaged and the proud mom of Duchess, a black lab mix and Emmie, a foster fail cat. Sadly, her fur babies still reside in Kentucky as she gets settled in her new home. In her spare time, Chelsea loves reading and watching Netflix.

Brit at Princess Anne Veterinary HospitalSophia Renee, aka Sophie has been our kitty mascot since 2014 after her last career as a housecat did not work out. She has had no problem fitting in here at Princess Anne and she is loved by our staff and clients alike. Sophia has been a model for feline weight loss; she has lost over 5 pounds since joining us! Like any savvy feline, Sophia has her own Twitter account. Her favorite hobbies include bird watching, chasing treats, catching bugs, napping, and visits from her fans. Don’t miss her at your next visit curled up in her bed by the window!
